Background and objectives
As part of my Web Designer UX-UI training course (Activmedia), I worked on this joint project involving a website and 360° communication. This work was mainly a technical and sometimes creative application of the various training modules.
The fictional client is Génial Shop, a company specialising in the sale (B2B) of electric and eco-friendly cargo bikes for mobile catering.
In addition to UI design, I worked on:
- Visuals
- Logo
- A flyer
- A video
- Homepage Wordpress integration
- A newsletter
Tools used: Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Filmora, WordPress
UI design
The UI design part consisted in recreating the mock-up of the website's home page in Figma, for both desktop and mobile versions. I used auto layouts, grids, components, variants, colour styles and typography.
Page layout:
- A header, with logo, navigation menu, and shopping basket icon
- A "hero" section with a visual, a tagline, and the value proposition
- Grid buttons to access product categories
- A call-to-action that leads to the shop
- Two descriptive sections highlighting the specific features of the offer and its advantages.
- Two social proof sections with testimonials and logos of partner companies
- A footer, with logo, navigation menu, and newsletter sign-up form
Tool used: Figma
Conclusion
📝 This project was above all a set of technical exercises meant to validate our knowledge. The UX aspect was almost entirely absent. Nevertheless, this work allowed me to train my designer's eye and acquire automatic reflexes in Figma.
